You gotta love a dope story, and Locksmith gives it to you.
The Richmond, CA MC been a beast for a long time and on Lofty Goals doesn't disappoint. The UC Berkeley Alumni (Bachelor of Arts in African American Studies) got his start as a deadly battle rapper in the Grindtime Rap Battle league, along with the legendary underground Bay Area duo The Frontline, and a series of mixtapes between the early 2000's-present. Since taking a break from the battling circuit, Locksmith has been establishing himself as more than that.
On this 13-track banger the Bay Area MC flexes his lyrics with features from Jarren Benton, Futuristic, Marc E. Bassy, Chris Webby, Jarell Perry, and Rebecca Nobel. The production is like a movie with the likes of Apathy, Mike Blankenship, Lock, Kuya Beats, and more.
